Originally an idea coming from reading about the black plague in the 1340's and how houses would be marked to warn others of the contagion within. However the notion of contagion is a ubiquitous reality - scaling up the scope and scaling down the specifics and you would see we lurch from outbreak to outbreak. Disease, rampant malignant ideologies, political correctness, so-called 'woke-ness', incels, ur-fascism, the largesse of idle recreation...
So, the house is a barrier (of thinking) and we must determine if we reside within girding our loins, or without, pondering a breach.

The title piece has everything to do with Stravinsky and the 'Rite of Spring' and nothing to do with contemporary electronic music.

takeshi HAYASHI states he wants this recording to be used as ballet music. I would wait a long time in a long line-up to buy tickets for that ballet. Although clues can be taken from the title - dark and moon - there is a pent up exhilaration in Part 1 that races along as if to defy any concerns made explicit in the music that follows. However, in good music as in ballet, facets and tension do follow and inform the work and it's there where the hammer falls. Brilliant. Maybe a masterpiece.. solemnland
